Publishing a PagePorter Web Site

Your PagePorter web site is a special kind of ASP.NET web application, so use the Visual Studio .NET Copy Project command to publish the project.

If your project contains web pages that were originally authored in FrontPage, Visual Studio may reformat the page while publishing, causing the shared borders and other information to be changed, or in many cases removed altogether. To prevent publishing problems, you should do one of the following:

If your PagePorter web site is co-managed with FrontPage, make sure you use either the “Copy only files needed to run this application” or “Copy all project files” option. If you use the “Copy all files in the project folder” option, you may improperly publish some of the FrontPage files.
