Installation and Setup

Installation begins when you insert the product CD in the drive, or you run the Setup.exe file located in the root of the installation CD or ESD file.

You also can refer to the Readme files, located in the root of the installation CD or ESD file. The Readme files contain detailed information on installation issues for PagePorter. The Readme files are in HTML format and can be viewed with an Internet browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. For information on locating Readme files, refer to the topic Locating Readme Files.

Service Releases

You can check for service releases applicable to your installation directly from within the Visual Studio .NET IDE.

Note   Your machine must be able to connect to the Internet to check for available service releases.

Repairing Your Product Installation

If you are experiencing problems or unexpected behavior while using this product, you can easily repair your current installation by using the Add/Remove Programs dialog box; choose PagePorter, and then choose Change.

Hardware Requirements

PagePorter does not have any hardware requirements beyond what Visual Studio .NET requires. Consult the Visual Studio .NET Hardware Requirements topic in the Visual Studio .NET documentation for details.

Software Requirements

Since PagePorter is an add-in for Visual Studio .NET web application development, you must have Visual Studio .NET properly installed and configured to develop web applications.
